Doesn't need another intercessor
by Ernie Reesor, Listowel, OntarioRegarding "Model or Mother?" (December 2011): Why do we seek to make Mary more than she was? Mary and her other sons had little understanding of the scope and intent of Jesus’ ministry, as is shown in the third chapter of Mark. Nowhere does it say she intercedes for me. As a Christian, I have the wonderful privilege of direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ. There is no need for another intercessor. The way this author talks about Mary borders on idolatry. No one is to be worshiped but God alone.
