Haiti updates from Franconia Conference

Haiti updates:

• Mennonite Central Committee has made contact with leaders of the Grace Assembly Network in Haiti, a Partner in Mission with Franconia Mennonite Conference. Leader of Grace Assembly Network, Pastor Lesly Bertrand, has been sleeping outside of the church/orphanage/ministry center of their congregation near Port-au-Prince. Franconia Conference will send a first round of aid this week to Haiti directed toward the Network.

• Souderton Mennonite Church's work team of 27 people returned to the United States on Jan. 18. They left for Labaliene in the south of Haiti on Jan. 9.

• Virginia Mennonite Missions plans to send a response team to Haiti within the next week.
