Churches in Haiti feel Hurricane Dean

SOUDERTON, Pa.—Franconia Mennonite Conference Partner in Mission, Grace Assembly Network, felt the personal impact of Hurricane Dean last week.
Lesly Bertrand, church planter and president of Grace Assembly said some of the hurricane victims are members of Grace Assembly Network. He says one pastor reported that houses near his were destroyed and he lost his entire garden.
Grace Assembly Network consists of 24 congregations, three church plants, seven schools and 30 pastors.
Franconia Conference has partnered with Grace Assembly Network over the last several years in leadership development as the congregations have faced threats and addressed possibilities for ministry and hope.
Grace Assembly also partners with the Hopewell Network of Churches and is connecting with Mennonite World Conference.—Franconia Mennonite Conference
