by Bluffton UniversityPrint Article Email to a Friend

The Bluffton (Ohio) University football team builds a dike to prevent more flood waters from entering the Shoker Science building. On Aug. 21 the campus and Village of Bluffton awoke to rising flood waters after the area received more than eight inches of rain during the night. The Bluffton campus was activated as a Red Cross shelter, and campus officials prepared for the potential of 150 guests. Throughout the day, students continued to volunteer their time to help the more than 50 guests who came to campus for shelter.—Bluffton University, Bluffton photo.
